    keyword=Swing shift summary

    At the start of swing shift, the beam was off to fix some problems in the injector. Shortly into the shift, MCC called and asked to send tune beam and requested that we move to the empty target position. We went to bring up the target motion GUI only to find that it was missing. We tried rebooting the target IOC, and once that was done, the motion GUI still wouldn't appear. Instead, a window with an error message popped up telling us that the .edl file for the motion control GUI could not be opened for reading. We tried to find some more information on the file and discovered that it appeared to be hosted on a hall B web server and no longer existed. Eventually Yi paged the software expert on call via MCC, who was able to restore the file. At that point, MCC was able to tune up our beam, and we started taking production data. At first, they couldn't get us to 13.5 uA, so they had to do some further injector tests, which only took about ~15-20 minutes, and by about 18:30, we were taking production data on 3He at 13.5 uA again.
