    keyword=RUTGERS COMET DEAD

    Its found that the COMET from Rutgers is dead since 18:01 EST, Jan. 31,
    2009. I checked all the three lasers since we saw a drop in the laser
    spectrum as well as in the pumping chamber temperature. The other two
    COMETs are fine "till now".
    There is NO OUTPUT from the Rutgers' one even with the normal current
    fed into the diode. So I connected an old FAP ( #5) to the third line.
    The power is adjusted to 25 W and also the wavelength to 795.1 nm. Things
    look stable now.
    The polarization before I turned OFF the lasers was 65 % ( RUN 5749)
    The polarization after we came back is now ~ 61% ( RUN 5750)
