    Hmm. I had understood that the preshower signal was multiplied by 2, hence the 0.5*presh+shower terms I've seen in other plots...

    Anyway, if I take a straight sum I think it actually gets a bit worse(?) There's still the +-10--15% spread from row to row, but now the spread within a row is noticeably larger.
