    keyword=Syncroc studies: L1A vs Clock for Run 1649

    At Vince's request, I've plotted L1A versus clock count for Run 1649, which was taken on Friday February 20 soon after Kalyan rebooted the ROCs. Fig. 1 shows that there were no synchronization irregularities in the first 50,000 events.

    Fig. 2 is quite flat, except for single points at the beginning and end of this million-event section. The outlier at the highest clock value is probably the beginning of a beam trip, since L1A drops very close to zero. The outlier at the lowest clock value is more difficult to explain, but it looks very similar to the lone outlier in Run 1688 (which, as HALOG 262910 shows, _does_ contain a large synchronization gap).
