    keyword=Status of Right Arm VDCs

    I'm making a long story short. The bottom VDC seems to be the same as before we pulled the Detector Stack. The top VDC has the two leaks in the top window plugged with RTV. A minimal amount of RTV. The RTV seems to have setup well. I left gas flowing at a setting of 26 on the rotameters for both the top and bottom VDC. That is what I saw on the Left VDCs, 26 on the top and 24 on the bottom. On the top of the Right Arm top VDC I put a layer of Reynolds 624 Heavy Duty Foil (aluminum). I taped the foil to the aluminum cover sheet of the VDC package with Saint-Gobain C665 copper tape with conductive adhesive. The carbon fiber covers were put in place after the aluminum foil was put on. I swapped the amplifier cards between the cables U1 and U2 of the top VDC. Bogdan had tried re-seating them, but that didn't seem to help. We shall see if the problem moves with the amplifier card. The last amplifier on the V plane, V23, did not have continuity to one of the power lines and the threshold line. It would seem the solder joints crossing the gap between the two VDC circuit cards are not so good. It is too awkward of a spot to re-solder the joints. We will need to make a jumper cable and get power from the amplifier card next to it (V22). I pulled the amplifier and inserted a grounding tab into the connector on the VDC. I pulled the cable 'UPPER V23' from the TDC. The low voltage supplies were turned on. 12V at about 5A for the cooling fans. About 0.2A on each threshold supply. 5.65V at 51.16A on the Agilent supply. 5.3V at 24A on the Acopian supply.
