keyword=Beam fluctuations with/without beam half wave plate.The width in the charge asymmetry seems to be related to the beam half wave plate.
In the attached plot.. the beam half wave plate was retracted at around 00:10. The width on the charge asymmetry decreases. The reverse was observed when the IHWP was inserted.
In the past, I've observed that a change in width was usually associated with a change in the beam tune. What's going on here?
