    keyword=Shifts of Target Ladder

    The previous position was done when the target was warm, but under vacuum and check by turned raster on and off and seeing the scaler rates drop. At the mm level, each transition (1 atm -> vacuum & vacuum -> cryo-target) can cause shifts and we have cryo-cycled the target several times (not that we want to).

    Dave Meekins has noted that the vacuum loading shift is often balanced back during the cool-down of target. Not sure what happens if you re-cool the target several times.

    Anyway, it will be good to watch this. Especially it the target warms up again.
