    keyword=Compton tried/failed to use new ROC1/2 cpus

    We tried the new VME 5100 board to replace ROC1/ROC2 on
    Compton. The ROCs download and print out normal looking
    messages but do not take data and do not enable the ADCs
    in that crate (counting-mode photon ADCs).

    We tried several times, and backed out to the old cpus,
    back to new, and back again. It was a repeatable problem:
    no data from ROC1/ROC2 with new cpus.

    Not sure why. Might be because the mailbox feature which
    writes to some chip, or the ancient Corbo interrupt card,
    or the mysterious ADC0. Pretty typical of this project.
    BTW, the standalone ETROC DAQ would work with the new cpus
    because its a very simple polling DAQ and ignores all but
    ETROC.

    We've backed out to the old vx2306 boards. System tested
    with the random trigger. Done for today.
