The most likely cause for the magnet Quenches/Trips last night was unstable pressure on the warm return line. When the target cool down was complete and the target was moved to cold return it caused instability in the warm return line, and as a result instability in the magnet lead flows. The instability during the transition is inherent to a cool down. All of the cryogenic magnets are interlocked on lead flows, thus the trips. The magnet power supplies should remain ramped down during target cool downs to avoid high current dumps. Please add this to the target cool down check list, so we can avoid this problem in the future.
