    keyword=Owl shift summary

    We started the shift after the Moller commissioning. Getting the beam
    back to the previous setting took some time, and the quality was poor
    (very high Compton rates, frequent ion chamber trips). We could not do
    any work on the Compton.

    We did some BPM studies (see related entry). BMPs are still saturating
    and need some expert look.

    We shot some beam on solid targets to see backgrounds on the calorimeter
    (PMT anode currents in particular). At first look, we don't see any
    significant values, but since the target is warm we couldn't run any high
    beam current.

    At around 5:30 we turned the beam over to MCC for them to perform some
    multiharp scans. We'll request controlled access as soon as they are
    finished.
