    keyword=Day Shift Summary

Start shift nearing the end of the Carbon Inelastic Spectrum / False Asymmetry scan.

Starting in the middle of Setting #18, target out. DAQs both appeared hung/stuck at beginning of shift, so stopped runs and rebooted DAQ.

    -----------------------------------------------------
Now, continue: Setting #18 D (target out, raster off):
    Runs 2087/21176 - 08:17 - 08:30 (1M events ... enough, since previous runs had data, too)

    -----------------------------------------------------

    08:30: start momentum change on both L and R to Setting #19 (p0 = .410 Gev/C).

08:40: get Controlled Access for checking of SuperHarp problems.

    During access, also:
    - Alex and John M. switch something on BCM (10 kHz signal -> 1 MHz signal?)
    - And tech staff is able to remove a screw from one of the target-line clamps which had been causing interference.

11:05 - back to Power Permit.

Setting up with Alex to try Harp Scan, and use Slow Raster.
FIRST, though: do a BCM Calibration (Tungsten Calorimeter) point.

This BCM/Calorimeter calibration ongoing from 11:05.
    - SLOW raster on (max setting) @ ~ 11:30
    - 11:35 - 11:50: DAQ runs as part of calibration (2088/21177)

11:50: done BCM/Calorimater calibration point (@ 200nA), and now attempting Harp scans.
12:20: informed by Alex that Harps still not giving a readout :(

So...going back to complete Carbon inelastic scan:

    ----------------------------------------
    Setting #19 (p0 = .410 GeV/c; rasters OFF, 1 uA beam)

    #19D - Target OUT
    Runs 2089/21178: 12:26 - 12:42 (2M/3M events)
    Runs 2090/21179: 12:43 - 12:51 ) (~1M events each)

    #19A - Target IN
    12:53 - 13:08
    ..Left Arm: Runs 2091/2092/
    ..Right Arm: Runs 21180/21181/21182

    -------------------------------------------

    Done Carbon Inelastic table.
    13:08 - begin changing momentum to do Carbon Elastic delta-scan, starting at -4% (p0 = 1.7680312 GeV/c).

    -----------
Left Arm only (Right taking too long to wait for): delta = -4%
    Rasters OFF
    - Run 2093/2094: 13:41 - 13:55 (2M events total)

    -----------
    13:55-14:00 ... change HRS_L momentum to delta=-3% (p0=1.75103 GeV/c)

    -----------
Left Arm only, Rasters OFF: delta = -3%
    ... 14:00 -14:23: Runs 2095/2096/2097
(7 minutes down to fix HRS_L DAQ problem; ROC died during 2095)

    -----------
    14:23-14:28 ... change HRS_L momentum to delta=-2% (p0=1.73403)

    -----------
Left Arm only, Rasters OFF: delta = -2%

    14:28 - 14:37: Runs 2098/2099

    ------------

14:37: Completed neeed delta scan; ask for Controlled Access for Stony Brook detector.

    Changing momenta to p0=1.70003 GeV/c, C elastic @ 0%, to do a BCM current-scan study.

    15:20 - beam back.
Have ~20nA current. Kalyan setting HV on lumi. Then we'll start a run.

Current Scan: 20 nA, C target IN (elastic 0%), Rasters off
15:30 start: Left Run 2100; Right Run 21190 (right momentum not set)
still running at end of shift.
