keyword=Wien filter saga
It appeared impossible to have the Wien filter angle changed in the night, although
the data tell us the angle is not dividing the polarization nicely over Halls A and B
(assuming the Mott is worth anything). Seems weird that one does not want to
change the angle, as it goes against the decided rule to split the polarization over
hall A and B, and surely we don't know the beam energy exactly yet, such that the
initial angle must have had some small guessing in it.
However, as we still have 63%, and we don't want to go through the trouble of
Moller measurements again after a change tomorrow, we decide just to live with
this 25% loss in figure of merit, and start the measurements.
So, polarization for us is about 63%, and we don't want a change in Wien filter angle
anymore.
