which is in the dispersive section of the arc. The dispersion is 4 m per fractional
change in energy, i.e. a 4 mm change in x corresponds to a change in beam energy
of 1 part in 1000. There has been a slow rise from about -0.4 mm (which is now
off the time scale) up to about +0.3 mm, with a sharp negative excursion of 2 mm
which seems to have been triggered by a loss of beam current and which was
recovered after about 5 minutes.
