keyword=re: double peaks in TDCs
The evidence so far is that the narrower widths I started using (to reduce EDT)
for the discriminator outputs caused problems with the large (880 nsec)
digital delays used to put the scintillator logic signals into the TDC.
The narrower widths appear to cause signals to jump by ~12 nsec
leading to two distributions. The narrowest signals were L-arm-L-PMTs
which were 50 nsec. The others were 70 nsec. We previously ran with
100 nsec and that's what I re-established now, and this appears to
substantially reduce the effect. Its necessary to check carefully with data !!
If what I have said is correct, then TDC signals like VDC and
cerenkov are not affected and can possibly be used to correct
for the 12 nsec jumps in scintillator timing.
