keyword=Final HRS-R shower counter calibration.Having fit pedestals for the RIGHT arm calorimeter (in spite of the title of my last halog entry), I now have a final calibration for the PS and SH detectors. Figure 1 is uncalibrated (acutally, the very preliminary calibration we've been using for a week or two), and figure 2 is with the new calibration. Data was calibrated using run 2435 (at ~1.9 GeV), and results are shown for 2435 and 2497(~1.2 GeV).
The table gives the energy resolution for the two runs for (1) the 'uncalibrated' energy, (2) the initial calibration (HALOG 57787), and (3) the final calibration after refitting the pedestals. Note that the current resolution is ~8%/sqrt(E), which is about what it should be.
shower_calib.dat has been updated in the espace directory. The old versions have been saved under different names: shower_calib.dat.030501old is the version we had been using before (the very preliminary calibration), shower_calib.dat.030501new was the initial calibration from the 5th, and shower_calib.dat.final is the current version.
