Ed Folts and I did a visual survey (OK, we took a look) at the multifoil target. All 9 foils ARE present, however foil 8 (counting from the upstream position,i.e., the second closest to the dump) is shifted.
Looking through the 0-degree port, you can see a small sliver of light between foil 9 and foil 8 meaning that the foil is shifted an entire foil width and if wse see the other foils we should NEVER simultaneously see foil 8f (with the obvious corollary that if we shift the beam by 1 cm to see foil 8 we are no longer seeing foils 1-7 and 9).
Since the data has been claiming that: i) the foils have their axis well aligned with the beer can, ii) foil 8 is nowhere to be seen, this is "good" news.
