It happened again today. After them beam energy change, the beam spot was wide and short. Yesterday we called MCC and suggested that they needed to check and make sure the Moller quads were set correctly. Later we were told that the quads were not set correctly and they also needed to recycle the quads. When the same thing happened again today, we called MCC and asked them to check the quad settings again. First they told us that today the quad settings were correct. They did some tuning but the spot was still bad. In the end we were told that they did recycle the quads in order to have a resonable spot size. So, the bottom line is: If the spot size is bad after beam energy change, chances are the MCC forget to change the Moller quad settings. They will also need to recycle the quads.
