keyword=Delta asymmetry
A very preliminary result of delta asymmetry:
Analyzed all 4 runs, 5.3M events for each arm. Plot asymmetry vs. invariant mass from on-line physics kumac file.
Then have looked at the two plots and choosed a somehow "flat" region, then estimate the asymmetry as:
Within invariant mass (1210,1250) the average value A_raw, then
divided by Pt*Pb*f=0.4*0.8*0.9, then get:
left: 0.00752459
right: -0.0179991
I forgot to write down the total number of events after all cuts. But for one of the hbook files (e..._phys_1455_0.hbook) I got about 200K out of 1M events, so finally we have about 1M out of total 5.3M for each arm. In the runplan it says 120K events are needed to measure Delta asym 2*sigma away from zero. So for now I assume the statistics is good enough for us to know the transverse asymmetry sign.
