keyword=Target - Gradient Coil NMR Test

Performed Gradient Coil NMR Test. Did three NMRs, one w/ grad. coils at 6.85 A, one w/ grad. coils at 4.98 Amps, and one with coils off. Found when taken an NMR with Coils on, Signal is disctinctly non-lorentzian. Big Gradients will naturally do this since different parts of the cell will resonate at different times. The last NMR done with 0 Amps in the coils showed 36.0% polarization. An EPR measurement done 15 minutes afterwards showed the target polarization to be 37.83% (delta nu = 45.55kHz). This difference is comparable to EPR/NMR differences earlier in the week (just after we realigned the target). I will try to fit the other NMRs done with the gradient coils on. Summary : NMR seems to be functioning realiably, but don't try to fit NMRs done with the gradient coils with LabView!!
