    keyword=summary of swing shift

    16:00 -- Continuing production runs with P=37.1%(EPR) measured at 11:20 am.
    At 17:49 beam was turned off to perform an EPR measurement and change the field orientation from 0 to 180 degrees. The target half-wave plate was moved IN. Beam was restored at 18:15. The results of the EPR measurement showed P=36% (originally believed to be 38%, but was found to be lower on further analysis).

    Antonin Vacheret came in to work on the parity DAQ. He found problems with the triggering, so since 1626/20626 we are now running without the parity DAQ (see HALOG 63586).

    Charge asymmetry looked good at the start of shift, but at run 20627 the charge asymmetry suddenly jumped up to 234 ppm. It took several runs for this value to stabilize once again near 90. A second EPR measurement was performed at 21:40, with P=35.3%. Beam was excellent until 22:45, when we were plagued with trips for nearly an hour.
