keyword=Charge asymmetries past 24 hrs
Plotted in fig 1 are charge asymmetries from past 24 hours using
L-arm, R-arm, and Parity DAQ. Some tentative conclusions:
1. The Parity DAQ is working ok again and we can enable automatic
feedback. I will come by this evening to turn it on (assuming agreement).
The feedback script will write the slope of RWP feedback with correct
sign (depends on insertable waveplate) but the MCC software still ignores
this. Needs to coordinate with J. Grames.
2. The agreements are "ok but not great". A few many-sigma disagreements
between Parity (points in magenta, sorry to color blind people) and other DAQs.
Don't know why.
3. The Parity DAQ has ~1/6th the statistical error (error bar about size of point),
typically 5 ppm in 1 hour.
4. In order to improve this situation, as needed for g2 and desirable for parasitic
parity testing, we need to do the following:
a) Need automatic feedback, all bugs removed. E.g. the large recent drifts
are probably due to some parameter not being updated. -> Automate !!
b) Need to feedback once per 10 minutes, thus need to use the online version
of Parity analyzer producing results in real time.
c) Need to have a finer feedback control, something like 1 ppm/step instead
of what we have now, which is ~26 ppm/step.
