While bored and waiting for beam, I looked at the run-by-run charge asymmetry
(from the parity DAQ analysis, using the chkfeedback script) for the last week's
worth of data, i.e. starting at Parity run 857, when the Parity DAQ was turned back
on. The automatic feedback was on through almost all of this.
- The average asymmetry was -13 ppm (not bad)
- The standard deviation was 192 ppm (not so good)
The history is shown below; the error bars are mostly smaller than the
size of the data points. Most of the fluctuation appears to be related to the
large beam-current-correlated oscillations in the asymmetry that we have
noted before.
