keyword=Synchronization of 3 DAQs back?
7:35 pm contacted Bob Michaels again concerning disconnected "3 DAQ Sync" cable.
Logic of cable as we understood it: ECL signal out of parity DAQ module (TIR) -> convert ECL <-> NIM -> fan out NIM signal to cable 17 and 18 on patch panel.
Found the following: Parity DAQ cable (Q, Qbar) into ECL (channel 15),
NIM output (channel 15), NIM output on two channels #16 ->
patch panel input: 17,18, other end of "3 DAQ Sync" cable was disconnected!!!
Confusion where to connect this end????? Since we wereunfamiliar with
Phillips 726 ECL to NIM converter, mapping didn't make sense to us.
Paged Jack Segal who came in around 9:00 pm. Learned that bottom pins on ECL input connector are actually "ground".
Plugged loose end of "3 DAQ Sync" into NIM input # 16 after checking
signal on scope.
Start run 1876 in this configuration. We will check helicity states after the
run to see whether they are ok.
Run 1875 (20875) was only short for testing!!!!
