keyword=Difference in number of events in both helicities

As regard to the difference in the number of events in both helicities, I checked two runs with different beam half-wave plate setting.

    Beam half-wave

    Run Number

    No. Evt (h=-1)

    No. Evt (h=+1)

    Hel. Pulse (h=-1)

    Hel. Pulse (h=+1)

    IN

    1670

    16485

    15754

    40907

    40909

    OUT

    1687

    16278

    16970

    43793

    43796

As we can see here, the number of pulses in each helicity is basically
the same. They differ by 2 to 3 out of 40000. But number of events recorded
in the tape DO show difference between the two helicities. This disrepancy
is from the physics. Especially, pion asymmetry is pretty big (a few percent)
and pions can easily generate this difference between the number of events
of both helicities. And when we put in the beam half-wave plate, they change
sign, as they should be. So there is nothing to worry about the difference
you see between the two helicities from the physics kumac.
