keyword=Target - Long. Grad Coils important!!I turned the longitudinal gradient coils down from 2.0 Amps to 0.0 Amps to see if these coils were doing anything to suppress masing. I left the transverse coils at 5.0 Amps. As you can see from plot below, the longitudinal gradient coils turn out to be very important!! Obviously, I clobbered the polarization in the process. Maybe tonight we can try a more sensible test of the masing threshhold.

down: freq. shift = -45.34 KHz +/- 3.88 KHz, P = -42.40%+/- 3.62%
up: freq. shift = 32.31 KHz +/- 2.74 KHz, P = 30.21%+/- 2.56%
