    keyword=Left Dipole NMR

    I've noticed that the left dipole NMR periodically has trouble holding its lock. This may be related to the combination of high beam current and small angle. (Don't really know). As protection against having the feedback loop send the magnet to the wrong setting, I've turned the regulator OFF (see the D1 NMR control panel). The power supply is very stable and the magnet has been sitting at 4.121 GeV/c for a long time so things should be as stable or even more stable than with the regulator on.
    At this point I=1568.44 amps gives 4.12100 GeV/c
