    keyword=no dummy melting!

    To check whether our accidental 70 uA run on the dummy target damaged the target, I checked the normalized yield in the right arm (which hasn't changed all day) for the runs that were taken this morning vs. our high current dummy run. The results follow:

    Run Current Counts/uC
    1374 30 uA 46.5
    1375 30 uA 46.7
    1376 30 uA 46.7

    1398 70 uA 45.9
    1399 30 uA 46.7
    Uncertainties (statistical) are on the order of 0.1% for each point.

    For the high current run there is a discrepancy of about 1.7% compared to the earlier low current stuff. It looks like this is the effect of some rate dependent correction we are not making (electronic dead time or tracking efficiency?) since the following low current run is again consistent with the earlier low current runs.
