keyword=Holding Field ProgramSince we are unable to send the coil currents upstairs to the Target operator screen via EPICS, I have modified the LabView program. In the Holding Field section, I have added a button that when pressed brings up a new program that will calculate the holding field and angle. The user needs to specify the large (Transverse) and small (Longitudinal) currents that are displayed on the Monitor above the Target operator computer. The program then returns the holding field magnitude and angle. Make sure you enter the correct sign when you enter the currents. Figure 1 shows the modified Target Operator screen.
