    keyword=Problem with Raster

    Around 7:25 we requested beam on the helium target. When the beam came back, then MCC notified us that the aspect ratio was very skewed. Actually, the spot looked like a pancake and not a circle. After discussion with the MCC, we decided it was a hardware problem and called Bob Michaels and Bill Gunning. We also adjusted the voltage knobs in the middle room which control the raster shape. It was then that MCC found that the problem was caused by an earlier optics change that they weren't aware of. After reversing this change, the raster was more circular, but then the knobs had to be tweeked a lot to get the shape by to 4 mm in diameter.
