keyword=Beam halo checkWith Vince, we checked beam halo from data replay of the following runs.
Run 20295 : Empty target run with good beam tune (Red curve)
Run 20297 : He3 target run with good beam tune (Black curve)
Run 20337 : Empty target run with "another" beam tune (Blue curve)
Run 20340 : He3 target run with "another" beam tune (Purple curve)
All of the histograms have been normalized so that the peak height from the entrance window is the same. The small increase in He3 yield is due to kinematics change. After the beam tune, we moved p0=2.35 to 2.55. From the empty cell runs, we can see no increase of rate within statistical error and it shows that the beam halo effect after beam tuning is not significant.
