keyword=Re: Parity DAQ - adc8
From figure 1 below... you can see that the ADC8's Control Status Register (CSR) suddenly went haywire during run #1819. This event doesn't seem to correspond with any measurements made by the other ADCs (e.g. beam trip... or whatever).
Things I noticed:
- Rebooting the crate doesn't help
- CSR has a real effect on all four of ADC8's channels (gains change randomly during run)
- Turning off DACnoise to that adc, causes CSR and Channel results to become stable again.
For now... it would probably be smart to expect that the results from this ADC are bad. However... running this ADC without dacnoise is giving me some "okay" results (preliminary). DACnoise for this adc was turned off at the start of run 1869... and should probably remain off (because it looks like turning on DACnoise is breaking it).
This ADC is now looking at a bpm of lower importance/significance (thanks Kent).... so we should be okay for now.... we'll probably swap out for another ADC after Spin-Duality.
