keyword=Optics data and backgroundI analyzed run 1299, the first good run taken after beam came back today with the single 12C target. Still background seem to be there, and as before we see something that looks like a 12C elastic peak very close to the beam energy. With a cut on this we can get rid of almost all the back ground and we see not one but two target foils (showing up in ph_fp (hist. 2)). Electrons from each foil seem to go through only ONE sieve slit hole.
The two foils can be two 12C foils (beam hitting a one of the shorter foils in addition to the tall one) or the tall foil and the BeO foil
