This entry is a followup to: 101127
keyword=still playing RQ1 gamesso the L/R Q1 IOC did not reboot. thus we tried again. while in the reboot process, when the Netscape window first popped up, it froze the HACSBC2 terminal. we logged onto HACSBC2 from another computer and killed the netscape processes. this did not unfreeze the terminal.
we logged on from adaqlr3 and opened up hlamain. from here we tried the L/R Q1 IOC reboot procedure again. this time it worked!
the current setpoint was 0 amps, but the readback was 389 A. we turned off the power supply. when we did this, the readback current started to drop and went all the way to 0A. also something like the following messages were displayed:
"Polarity changing"
"Command Rx error"
"Polarity stuck"
at 0A readback, we pressed the power off/reset button and then the safety/reset button. then we turned the power back on and set the current to 400A. the readback started going up very slowly.
