 Day shift summary for 31 July 2003 




owl shift had just started kin 7.02 elastic scattering:

2.84 GeV, BHWP out, THWP out, 0 degrees



~9:10 Kent does pita measurement so we can get beam

charge asymmetry down to about 0.



~09:20 David puts in Compton detector as background

conditions are now small; he miscommunicates with

MCC and asks for beam off, but does not ask to mask

detector motion. Trip.



~9:30 right arm ts0 problem. reset within coda appears to work.



10:00 speak with Hall B about our BHWP plans



10:15 start configuration change to ref cell, also put BHWP in

so Kent can do charge asym fixes



11:10 Kent has finished!



11:22 going back to elastic scattering:

New setpoints for charge asymmetry input from Kent's analysis.

Target changed with target half wave plate in, rotate the holding field 

from 0 to 180. Beam half wave plate still in.



11:51 target stable, ask for beam



12:30 JP calls to ask about target configuration and whether 

it is depolarizing. Vince and Jaideep find a ``nonproblem'' (EPICS

variables not updating) and a real problem, holding field got stuck

at 90 degrees, did not go to 180 degrees.



13:10 target pol 37 %, ask for beam back



14:05 Seonho asks us to take data at 5 k to speed things up, we adjust ps1.



14:41 ask mcc to take out bhwp



15:55 start setting up spectrometer for next kinemtics
