    keyword=More on EPR

    During controlled access I attempted to increase the signal from the EPR photodiode to improve the EPR signal. I attempted to align the coupler, but I could not get any more signal. So JP suggested that I should replace the photodiode and D2 filters. I used a new photodiode, one new D2 filter, and the old D2 filter from the transverse EPR line. After the change, the signal from the photodiode increased from 25 mV to 45 mV. The D2 signal from the lockin was around 27 uV. However the signal still appears noisy. Plus when I performed an EPR in the reference cell position I got a polarization of only 22.5%. The earlier NMR from 10:10 am gave 42%. So either we have a serious polarization loss or EPR is still not working.

    Note: EPR was performed at 383A on the Septum and +2.14A on the coil C correction coil, and -2.14A on the coil D correction coil.
