    keyword=MCC visit: RF separator cavity amplifier is dead

    @ 0150, Ken Surles-Law (friendly neighbhorhood MCC Crew Chief) dropped by again. He told us that they were able to get the amount of separation that was needed for delivery into hall A. Unfortunately, while they were fine tuning the beam/separation, the amplifier on RF separator cavity #5 died. This prevents us from getting any beam into our hall, but it doesn't interfere with delivery to hall C. Thus hall C will get beam since they are the priority hall. Ken will talk to the PD to see what should be done regarding this busted amplifier.

    @ 0210, Ken calls back from the control room. He says that the PD has decided to bring in the appropriate personnel to fix the amplifier issue tonite instead of waiting for the day shift. This will probably take at least 2 hours. In principle, none of this should effect hall C.

    I have sent our 3rd (Abrahamyan) back home to be on call. Magic 8 says "Outlook Good", cool!
