    keyword=Owl shift run plan

    Due to the right dipole problem, that will not get fixed until this morning, we can not take good physics data. However, we can do a couple of single arm studies:

    - Pl = 0.55 GeV/c (Pr OFF), Isept=28.0A. Take 2 hours of ABU, following these conditions:
    - T3 < 100 kHz (MOST IMPORTANT to avoid RICH trip)
    - Deadtime < 10% (if possible)
    - Ibeam > 3muA, for stability (if possible)
    - T4 = 100Hz (prescale)
    You can play with target thickness (choice: 4cmLH2, 10cm optics, BeO), beam current and prescalers to best satisfy these conditions.

    - Pl = 3.0 GeV/c, Isept = 277.74 A. Cycle Q2 and Q3. 15cmLH2, adjust beam current so that T3 < 100 kHz (minimum ps3 factor), and T4 = 100Hz. Take just 1 run (this is to get Kaons rate at 3 GeV).

    At 7:30am, no matter where you are in this plan: ask MCC to go to Controlled Access, so that we are ready to go in at 8am.

    Have a good night!
