    Talking to Brian Humensky, he says, "I think you can compensate
    for ellipticity in the linear polarization while aligning the Pockels cell and setting its voltages -- you've got a lot of knobs there that you don't have for the linear polarization. So I'm not surprised you do better with circ pol than linear."

    I agree with his thoughts here, and thought I should add this statement to correct my statement of surprise with how good our circular polarization was when measured in the tunnel.
