keyword=Hall C asymmetry HUGE (Run 2284)
The Hall C charge asymmetry was huge during run 2284. They had gone
up to 10 uA during the run, and the asymmetry is 6300. This is outside the range of the IA cell, I think, but its close (slope was
about +850 ppm/Volt, and we were sitting at IA=7). So I railed
the Hall C IA to zero, and I hope this gets close to zeroing the
charge asymmetry.
I have no idea why it changed so much between 1 and 10 uA, or if it
will continue to be unstable. We do not have the ability to do
automated feedback for it, an issue which only Bryan can address.
We aren't close to zeroing the charge asymmetry. Run 2285 has a
1800 ppm charge asymmetry, and the IA is railed... what to do, what
to do...
