about 2:20 we tried to move the carbon target into the beampath, but it would not move.  'brake' was lit, 'busy' was not, 'error' was not, and 'clear selected record' did nothing.  paged target expert (Kathy), she advised we page Meekins.  paged him, no response, kathy called back recommending a GUI restart or an IOC reboot.  GUI restart did nothing, but IOC reboot took care of problem.  target moved to carbon, and life is good.
