keyword=Switching to Spectrometer DAQ
At 0400, we started switching to spectrometer DAQ
(1) made sure Spec DAQ was working by checking spot
(2) spot looks good, (~3 x ~3) mm
(3) requested and got 1 µA
(4) recorded HAPPEX detector settings @ 0152, halog 129478
(5) set the BPMs to AUTOGAIN
(6) set the HAPPEX Detector HVs to 1800
(7) cable is plugged in the middle room
(8) check beam positions:
BPM4A = (-0.34,-0.24) mm
BPM4B = (-0.20,-0.03) mm
These are within the "Whiteboard" specs; however, Rob is a little worried that they are not within ± 0.100 mm. Since we've taken production data at nominally these values over the last few days, we'll take take both at these position and nominal zero.
(9) FFBs are on.
(10) Attempted to set S2 HV. @ 0412, lost communication to LeCroy HV IOC. reboot IOC through crate resets. recovered by 0416.
(11) Turned on S2 HV, checked rates → T1 and T3 = 0.1-0.2MHz
(12) Turned off beam modulation at 0429.
(13) Reduced beam current to 0.2 µA. T1 and T3 rates scaled by the appropriate amount.
(14) Turned on VDCs to 4kV.

~0430 starting Rob Q^2 studies with LH2 target.
