NOTE: A detailed list of runs taken in this shift is given in a separate Halog entry.
00:00 Shift begins with kinematic setup A1 (p=1.1374 GeV/c, L-HRS=17 degrees) and the target being changed to the LH2 4cm target.
00:05 - 00:27 Problems with Coda; reset, restart and eventually reboot ROC 6 and then everything comes back to normal again.
00:53 - 01:10 Move the sieve slit IN; took several attempts because a couple of times it appeared to halt. Start taking data again in A1 kinematics with the LH2 4cm target.
01:27 - 01:34 Move target to tilted carbon target; resume taking 3.5uA beam.
01:55 When trying to move the left spectrometer, the control gui froze and we were unable to restart/reset it. We spoke to the run coordinator and he told us to call MCC and ask for a controlled access and to page the tech-on-call to find out where the computer to reset is.
02:40 No response from tech-on-call so we paged RC again and he decided to come in and have a go at resetting the crate himself; Doug had an idea where to find it.
03:20 After making an access, we found the crate controlling the left hrs bogies and reset it. We were able to then move the spectrometer in the hall to the next kinematic configuration - A2 (p=1.1149 GeV/c, L-HRS=20 degrees). MCC are working on bringing beam back to us.
03:29 Beam restored with 3.5uA delivered.
04:00 Changing target to the 4cm liquid hydrogen target.
04:20 - 04:35 Configuration changed to kinematic A3 (p=1.0986 GeV/c, L-HRS=23.0 deg.).
04:45 MCC informed us that they had lost a bulk power supply which controls some of their magnets and so they would be unable to deliver any beam until it was restored.
05:12 MCC restore beam back into the hall - 3.5uA; we continue to take data.
05:28 - 05:35 Changing to the tilted carbon target.
06:25 Remove the sieve slit and continue with A3 kinematics.
06:44 - 06:50 Changed to liquid hydrogen target.
06:55 MCC inform us that they have an RF problem which is going to require help from the electrical engineering support; beam will be off for a while.
08:00 MCC called to tell us that they are still working on fixing their problems and are unable to deliver beam. MCC will proceed with the pass change once they have to accelerator back online.
