    Summary

    Most downtime from the controlled access to investigate target vacuum fluctuations and trigger timing issues. Had some DAQ problems.. (halog entries 139483 and 139488)... might have been correlated with several xscaler processes running (Bob killed them off, and we restarted one on a machine in the control room. Halog entries 139491 and 139492). JP also noticed some curious scattering chamber vacuum fluctuations (halog entries 139459, 139460, 139469, and 138489)

    Significant Events

    • 08:00 Began the shift by ending Run 1867, moving to the slanted carbon target, and turning on the Bigbite HV. Asked MCC for 15µA (un-rastered), and adjusted prescale factors.
    • 11:26 Requested controlled access (halog entry 139458)
    • 13:19 Back from access, requested a few different currents of unrastered beam to check rates and set prescale factors.
    • 15:23 Rebooted the trigger supervisor crate in the Left arm, using the Slow Controls screen, to try to alleviate the DAQ problem.
    • 15:35 MCC informs us that an RF zone has dropped out, and beam will not be back for a few minutes (experts are working on it).
    • 15:54 Beam returns (0.5µA, un-rastered on slanted carbon).
