    keyword=Beam Halo

    The beam has had a moderate to significant halo in the past few days. Shown in Fig.1 is the beam halo seen in the Compton Electron detectror. The green points are compton signal and the red points are background/halo. The size of the beam halo is 8.6 mm in radius where beam intensity falls to 10E-8.

    The same spectrum after this morning retune (narrowing the source slit) is shown in Fig.2. Beam halo disappeared.
