    Having noticed that Compton's heartbeat had stopped, tried a "reboot coda". The 1st attempt failed. The second attempt worked.
    Suggest, going very slowly, make sure each step (configure, download, etc.) is totally finished before going on to the next, in fact wait a little while after each seems to be finished. (Just folklore, maybe it matters maybe it doesn't)-JJL
