    keyword=owl summary

    After finishing the fan speed scan (and there were several earlier
    scans of various things) we are very nearly ready for production.

    We did production style runs but had troubles with the Right septum.

    Run .... Events .... Comment

    5632 ... 100 K ...... 60 uA
    5633 ... 100 K
    5634 ... 60 K ... R-septum quench (really a quench). Stop run
    It took 1.5 hours for R-sept to recover.

    5635 ... 17 K ... R-septum quench again
    5636 ... 58 K ... 30 uA and without R-septum (it is cooling)

    06:20 Beam off. Decide to wait for R-sept.
    07:00 R-sept recovered.

    5637 ... run at 40 uA ... asymptotic limit is about 7.15 K (R-sept)
    07:42 We ask for 45 uA. Still run 5637.

    5638 ... passed on to next shift. 45 uA at the start.

    The beam is pretty stable now, so a suggestion for the next shift
    is to increase current SLOWLY (stay 40+ min at a value) and more
    carefully measure deltaT/deltaI (K/uA) to find maximum current.
