keyword=TECH: Right Septum Trip
from 0655 to 0720, the beam was gone due to RF cavity problems.
at 0734, the right septum tripped off. the beam current at the time looked like it was bordering on 60 µA. this is possibly the cause. the beam positions looked ok. the spot also looked ok. there had been a dithering cycle about 3 minutes before the septum trip. all the liquid levels looked ok.
luckily, the temps did not jump too high. the right upper coil temp peaked at 8.36K. the lower coil peaked at 8.00K. the yoke peaked at 5.69K. we asked for the beam to be off so that we can recover sooner.
