keyword=warming left septum updateEd just came by and said that the left septum issue is one that they have had before. it is an issue dealing with the controller for the LN2 cooling.
this is consistent with the fact that the Bore Shield, N2 inlet, and N2 vessel are all at about 111K, whereas they used to be at around 80K in the most recent screen capture that i could find (HALOG 158433).
Ed also mentions that lowering the beam current won't help much because the temperature is going to rise is nearly linear fashion regardless. Tim and Ed will come up with a plan.
the last time this happened (HALOG , the upper and lower coil temps were around 7.5K just before the left septum quenched.
the right septum just quenched and beam is away for everything to cool down...
