    Followups:

keyword=P0 Scan Left Arm, counting mode

Scan of momentum setting on L-arm, with methods and goals
similar to R-arm scan (halog 158255). We might prefer using
the L-arm with an altered P0 for awhile, for reasons I don't
    want to go into now.

Prior to this I did a long spot++ type run 2966 and observed
    that cavities looked good.

22:20 Switch to counting mode. Did the checklist.
    HV: det1=1950, det2=1950, det3=1900, det4=1900

Start with an ordinary Q2 run 2967.
Run 2967 had 100K events (someone had set the event limit in
    runcontrol).
Repeat Qsq: run 2968. 636K events.

After this, I adjusted PS factors to accentuate L-arm a bit.

    Run .... delta-P0 .... P0 .... I_sept

    2968 ... 0 MeV ... 3123.4 ... 323.6
    2969 ... -3 MeV .. 3120.4 ... 323.3
    2970 ... +2 MeV .. 3125.4 ... 323.8
    2971 ... +6 MeV .. 3129.4 ... 324.2
    2972 ... +10 MeV .. 3133.4 .. 324.6

    Analysis of counting mode data
    T4 = trig 4 rate, u10 = bcm (x10 gain).
    det1/det2 = ratio of rates

    Run .... dP .... T4/u10 .... det1/det2
    ............... (relative)

    2968 ... 0 ....... 1.0 ..... 0.342
    2969 .. -3 MeV ... 1.01 .... 0.476
    2970 .. +2 MeV ... 0.99 .... 0.270
    2971 .. +6 MeV ... 0.97 .... 0.146
    2972 .. +10 MeV .. 0.93 .... 0.057

So, going from 0 to 10 MeV the overall rate in T4 dropped 7 %
and the ratio of det1/det2 plummeted.

23:35 Switched back to HAPPEX DAQ. Did the checklist.
We'll do the reverse scan with HAPPEX DAQ.
Kent is here and he wants to drive. See his halog (later).
