Owl Shift for Sunday November 6th, 2005

    Leader:   Bryan Moffit
    Worker/Target:   Richard Wilson

    Left HRS p0   = -3.1234 GeV/c   Septum Set Current = 323.61A
    Right HRS p0  = -3.1126 GeV/c   Septum Set Current = 316.92A
    Sweeper is ON at 111.00A

    Summary

All production this shift (production runs 6194-6202).
Jaideep's perl script (see halog entry 157960) gives me these numbers (removing 6199):
Total Number of ok Pairs = 313.3 kPairs
Average beam current = 57.8 µA
     Total Coulombs = 1.176 C

    Significant Events

    • 00:00 Began shift in the middle of run 6194, compton run 12717. IHWP IN.
    • 00:03 Incoming Call: T. Holmstrom, status check
    • 01:36 Red alarm on Beamline HV crate. Soon after, the HV crate powered down. Turned it off, then on again. Alarm clear. Looks like this event effected one of the cavity on cycles for the photon rates in Compton run 12718.
    • 03:35 Informed Hall-B that we'll be flipping the IHWP in about an hour.
    • 04:30 Asked MCC to retract the IHWP.
    • 06:03 Noticed that FFB was stuck in Standby mode, for about 10 minutes. Called MCC. They turned the system off, then on again... and it came back to "FB on".
    • 06:37 FFB stuck in Standby mode again. MCC fixed it after I called.
    • 06:45 Compton ROCS 1 and 2 appear to be hung up.. cannot reboot them. Paged Hachemi.
    • 07:10 MCC Crew Chief calls for ABU/BANU. He gives me the impression that my BNA is over-estimated.. or ABU is under-estimated (I put in 1 minute BNA per beam trip).
    • 07:35 Hachemi calls in. He tells me to try rebooting the compton computer. I try one last try to reboot the ROCs... it works this time. Bah.
    • 07:50 Hachemi arrives... just in time to fix the latest Compton DAQ trouble.

It's funny. You should laugh. Outloud.
Of course you realize, this means war.
I'm going to turn this team around 360 degrees..
